Graham Barrow Research and Consulting Ltd is a specialist consultancy company which has been offering planning and research services in environmental and heritage management, interpretation, recreation and tourism, sustainable development and associated community involvement and consultation issues since 1997.
Graham is qualified in geography, conservation, planning and European Environmental Policy and Regulation and has had a professional career spanning some 40 years. He has worked in environmental education in the Lake District, for the Countryside Commission for Scotland, for a local authority, in a landscape and architectural consultancy in Glasgow and for 13 years was a Director of the national Centre for Environmental Interpretation (CEI) at the Manchester Metropolitan University.

The company has also established a new joint venture tourism company in Xi’an, China and has over 4 years experience of working in China.

Graham has been working recently in China on the huge new Daming Palace National Heritage Park project in Xi’an and has completed a 6 week journey along the ancient Silk Road from Xi’an in China through Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to Uzbekistan, the details of which can be seen on his blog
