Graham Barrow Research and Consulting Ltd is a specialist
consultancy company offering planning and research services
in environmental and heritage management, interpretation,
recreation and tourism, sustainable development and
associated community involvement and consultation issues.
We work for the public, private and voluntary sectors,
largely in the UK and occasionally overseas.
The company was established in June
1997 and is based in Bollington near Macclesfield, Cheshire.
We offer a personal service to clients as well as specialist
support to larger consultancy companies and heritage
organisations. The company Director, Graham Barrow,
has a range of professional associates throughout Britain,
giving him the ability to assemble a multi-disciplinarily
team to suit clients needs.
Graham is qualified in geography,
conservation, planning and European Environmental Policy
and Regulation and has had a professional career spanning
over 30 years. He has worked in environmental education
in the Lake District, for the Countryside Commission
for Scotland, for a local authority, in a landscape
and architectural consultancy in Glasgow and for 13
years was a Director of the national Centre for Environmental
Interpretation (CEI) at the Manchester Metropolitan
University.
Graham is a member
of the Royal Town Planning Institute. He
is an Associate Consultant with the
nationally and internationally renowned tourism
consultancy Tourism Enterprise and Management (TEAM). Graham
is vice-chairman of his local Civic Society and
founding trustee of a local Development Trust.
