Heritage Projects
Lion Salt Works, Northwich
We worked closely with the Director of the Lion Salt Works Trust to prepare a business plan for the site. This forms a vital part of a Stage 2 Heritage Lottery bid for the restoration of the Lion Salt Works and its development as a major new visitor and educational attraction in the proposed Weaver Valley Regional Park. We also assisted with research on the potential of the site for educational visits and helped to provide targets for visitor numbers and their associated spending.

Ashton Gardens, St Annes-On-Sea – Audience Development Plan
We prepared an audience development plan for the Grade II listed gardens in St Annes-on-Sea in Fylde Borough. The contract involved local consultation with interest groups and identified a range of projects that would better present the park to local people and to visitors. The attractive former Ashton Institute building will be relocated to the centre of the park and used as a café and space for community groups to use. We prepared a business plan for the operation of the building. In April 2007 the HLF awarded a Stage 2 pass for the park and the scheme is now being implemented. |

All involved local community consultation and the production of a budgeted action programme designed to encourage more public engagement with the parks. |
