HLF Landscape Partnerships

We have helped complete successful Heritage Lottery bids for a range of Landscape Partnerships. Graham Barrow was also the voluntary chairman of one of the first Landscape Partnerships in the UK – the Kerridge Ridge and Ingersley Vale Countryside and Heritage Project near Macclesfield in Cheshire. We have contributed to the following Landscape Partnership bids:

• Moors for the Future – Peak District National Park
• Sefton Coast – Sefton, Lancashire
• Habitats and Hillforts of the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge – Cheshire County Council
• Argyll Forest Park, Argyll, Scotland – for local community group
• Avalon Marshes, Somerset – for Natural England

Trafford Mill, near Chester

We have completed a Stage 1 HLF Heritage Grant bid for the redevelopment if the historic corn mill at Trafford Mill, Mickle Trafford near Chester. The project is to restore the mill to working order and develop education and interpretation facilities with partner organisations, the BTCV and the local farmer.

Village SOS - Barge Inn, Honeystreet, Wiltshire

We worked with the Barge Inn Community Project to prepare the business plan to accompany the Big Lottery/BBC Village SOS bid for the community to take over the running of a pub and camp site beside the Kennet and Avon Canal in Wiltshire. The bid won one of 6 grants in the national competition and the project will be the focus for a BBC television programme.
